The Bartec Collective is providing our new self-service portal, designed to give you easier access to your waste management information.
What You Can Do in the Portal
Bin collection management within the portal has never been easier, as you will be able to check your upcoming collections, view past collections that have already taken place, instantly check if collections have been completed and report missed collections or damaged bins.
In addition this, you will also be able book extra bin collections as and when you need them, with the charges for these collections being invoiced straight to your business account.
Registering for the portal
If we have your email address on file for your business account, you can register for the portal. Once you have registered, you’ll be able to set up a secure password and log in anytime.
If you need access for more than one team member, just let us know which email addresses to authorise and we’ll enable access for multiple users under the same account.
How the Portal Works
From your dashboard, you’ll see a calendar view of all your collections. If a collection is missed and no issues were reported (such as contamination or access problems), you’ll be able to report it directly. This creates a job in our system for the crew to return as soon as possible.
You can also report damaged bins from the same view. Just click on the bin and submit a damage report and our team will arrange a replacement.
If a bin couldn’t be collected due to contamination or access issues, it will be flagged in the system. These bins will be collected on your next scheduled day once the issue is resolved.
Invoices and Payments
For now, invoice and payment queries should still be directed to our debtors department. We are working on a more streamlined process, potentially within the portal, for this in the future.
Accessing the Portal
The portal will be available through our new Greater Cambridge Shared Waste website. We will release regular updates and ensure that we share everything you need to get started as soon as it goes live.
Next steps
We are currently working on integrating bin weighing data into the portal to provide this as a service next. When it becomes available, as more of our vehicles are equipped with weighing technology, you’ll be able to view accurate weight data for each collection.
